Drying Laundry in the Air forms part of my long-term artistic research programme Everyday Image Systems. It investigates how ordinary domestic gestures generate temporary architectures of colour, light, and social relationships.
Laundry drying between buildings is:
- spatial
- bodily
- environmental
- domestic
- dependent on air movement
- dependent on architecture
- a temporary spatial configuration
- something that changes through time
- something people read through movement and positioning
- part of my photographic/archive practice
- connected to my computational work
