
Maja Kalogera is a visual artist who works across different media, including paintings, drawings, moving images and installations. She lives and works in Zagreb.
She received grants from Henry Moore Foundation, Turbulence, New Radio Performance Inc., Black Rock Arts Foundation and Vocento ARCO Art Fair.
Her residencies include HUMO at Ars Electronica Linz with master artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Atlantic Center for the Arts with master artist Aram Bartholl, Modelmania at Future Center in Venezia, with master artist Olafur Eliasson, and Cite internationale des artes Paris.
In her works she explores how wide saturation and public usage of recent technological advances allow for changing notions of self and our environment. Her colors research leads her in many unprecedented ways, exploring the visual outbursts from her imagination mixed with twisted reality.
