Originated in Brussels, The Open Green project blends organic and technological matter into one and the same nature. Through analogue and digital means OG project do long term observations on the growth, blossoming and decay of plants and insects submitted to natural elements such as wind, sun, rain and pollution in an urban context. OG project monitors and extracts data from natural processes both on a micro garden level as on a macro city level and make the data available online in real time with open wireless city networks.

Annemie Maes from OKNO was Upgrade!Zagreb guest presenter in 2011 for the first time. On this second occasion, she will visit our AC Garden Zagreb project and gave us her valuable expertise. Collaboration is established upon our future mutual project between Opengreens and ACG, planned for 2016.
